TATE DIGITAL MEDIA x SHALEAH LACHÉ SUTTON
The Challenge
Talent isn’t the issue in Philadelphia. Visibility is. We saw three professionals with platforms and momentum: a sports journalist deep in Philadelphia Eagles coverage, an iHeartRadio host ready to expand her media presence, and a women’s conference leader whose magnetic personality can often get overshadowed by her faith role. They were already building influence, but their images weren’t yet translating the magnitude of where they were headed.
The Move
I partnered with powerhouse photographer Sherine Tate of Tate Digital Media to create headshots that were never just headshots. This was about using photography as strategy, giving each professional the visual authority to step into what’s next.
THE SPORT JOURNALIST was photographed with presence and command, positioning him as more than a reporter of the game, but as a rising voice in national sports storytelling, ready to carry Philadelphia’s perspective onto a larger stage.
THE RADIO HOST was shot to highlight her media versatility, not just behind the mic, but in front of cameras, on stages, and in boardrooms.
THE CONFERENCE LEADER was captured with laughter, light, and authority, revealing her as both approachable and powerful. The photography reframed her women’s conference as not just a faith-based gathering, but as a vibrant space for joy, connection, and cultural influence — signaling its ability to resonate far beyond church walls.
The Result
Each walked away with more than photos. They walked away with proof of what’s possible. When you can see yourself differently, you can move differently. And that shift, from what is to what could be, is the foundation for growth, transition, and impact.
Why It Matters
This project wasn’t about portraits. It was about perspective. Partnering with Sherine turned a photo session into a strategic intervention — one that aligned each professional’s image with their next chapter. That’s how we move: spotting what people can’t yet see, then investing in the creative tools to make it undeniable.
